Stone Cleansing 101

Here at Dreamersbeautyy we not only want to help you find the perfect crystal or crystal piece but also inform you on some very important steps in aftercare! What better way than to share some tips on when and how to care for your precious stones as well as the most excellent tips on cleansing your crystals.

When to cleanse my crystals?

Here are some instances that are recommended in cleansing!

• When you buy your crystals and bring them home, it’s best to first cleanse them of any energies they may have picked up AND be insured that all the good healing reasons you bought this particular piece shall come to pass. These steps are vital to me and I am grateful to be able to share them with those that not only support me but their own journey in healing, knowledge, and love of self as well as us as a whole.

• Ideally, you need to cleanse them on an ordinary basis - once a month is a great reference, to begin with. That way, they’re continually prepared for you when you want their gentle support. You may also need to cleanse them more often if you’re going through severe or difficult times and need lots of positive energy.

How to cleanse your crystals?

There are a lot of uses for your crystals, so there are also a lot of different ways to cleanse and charge them to ensure you benefit from all the healing properties.

1. Using rainwater as a pure source of water to cleanse stones is preferred but, in the event, you cannot get rainwater, they can also be soaked in a bowl of saltwater.

2. Smudging/burning Palo Santo (a favorite of mine), Sage, or Incents (lavender, frankincense, Myrrh, etc.) can help purify crystals by fire. A nice substitute can be candles, white in particular if you're in a quick pinch.

3. You can also allow the earth to absorb any unwanted energy and refresh your crystals by burying them! This is one of my favorite methods along with laying crystals and stones on selenite.
